Prospect Ridge Academy is a K-12, tuition-free charter school in the Adams 12 School District located in Broomfield, Colorado. This school was founded in 2010 and supports the wide range of new development in the fast-growing Broomfield area. As the surrounding communities continue to grow, so does the student population and the need for expanded facilities and amenities.

The second phase of the master plan expansion projects was an approximate 10,500 sqft, two-story addition to the high school building. The addition provided new classrooms, a weight room, locker rooms, training rooms and teacher planning/support spaces. The largest challenge faced with this project was the tight schedule. The addition needed to be completed during the summer months and fully functional in time for school to start in the fall. The 4-month construction schedule required advanced planning to ensure that all permits and approvals were in place so that construction could start immediately once school let out for the summer.  The schedule was met and the building was fully operational for the first day of classes.

Phase three of the expansion projects include an 8-lane running track, synthetic turf multi-sport field and auxiliary gym.  The auxiliary gym will also provide PE classroom space for the shared-campus K-8 facility that will lose their multi-purpose room in favor of a second-floor interior addition with teacher workrooms and special assignment classrooms.  The existing multi-purpose will become a single-story cafetorium.  Future plans include exterior and site renovations to support the K-8 and high school campus and the addition of a performing arts complex.
